Price the season, not a vague “dues”

  • Set one registration option for a simple house league, or several (early bird, regular, division) on paid plans.
  • Include venue costs, refs, and balls in the number you publish. Surprise fees after week one destroy trust.
  • Decide whether waitlisted players pay now or only when a roster spot opens.

Canadian rec leagues and checkout

Leagzr is a Canadian sports league management platform for amateur and recreational sports. Registration checkout is billed through Stripe Connect in the league’s operating country. Plans are priced in CAD. Optional sales tax can be calculated at checkout from the player’s billing address if you enable Stripe Tax.

Read the public Pricing page for platform fee percentages and monthly volume caps. Card processing fees are separate and billed by Stripe.

Operations after the money lands

  1. Confirm the player is on a team before opening night.
  2. Keep refunds and disputes in Stripe—the system of record for the payment.
  3. Do not schedule someone who has not paid or signed unless you have a written exception.

Frequently asked questions

How do leagues collect fees in Leagzr?
Connect Stripe under Settings → Payments, set season registration options, and let players pay during join. Funds go to the league’s Stripe account; Leagzr takes a plan-based platform fee.
Should waivers be required before payment?
Usually yes. Collect the signature in the same registration flow so unpaid or unsigned players never appear as game-ready.
